i'm not sure why i came back to work.

60º f – clear skies
i wandered through the stairwell from the 11th floor until i found a door propped open on the 8th. I took a step out onto the roof and took in the sights from where nobody else wanted to be for only a moment.
“Hey!”
I pivoted. Looked next to the door. Looked around the corner.
“Hey!” TAP! TAP! TAP!
Looking up didn’t make sense to me until i saw somebody dangling on...

lamenting & sizing up
tired, reclusive, slow, unintelligible, sheepish, unreasonably critical, short tempered, defensive. i’m becoming everything i hate.
i’m looking forward to the following two weeks like nothing else. Not only will i be in a warm climate around complete strangers set up in a hotel but i will be able to sleep at night.

with the exception that everybody is either going to sleep or waking up for their daily routine, i’d say this has been a pretty productive night off.
